Those concerned citizens awaiting a decision on the possible closing of Shell Point Elementary will have to wait a little longer than previously expected.

In their recently released schedule to the public, the Beaufort County School Board announced plans to hold their first meeting today, January 4, but that meeting is to elect new members and has no window for public comment.

So it looks like Shell Point will have to wait until the following meeting on January 18th.
