Hardeeville readies for Catfish Festival

There are certain events that you just have to stop, admire and think to yourself: "Yup, that's what makes living in South Carolina so unique."

One of those events is the Hardeeville Catfish Festival, which kicks off this Friday.

Unfortunately, we can't find much event information on the Hardeeville website, or anything at all on the Jasper Chamber website.

Here's what the Hardeeville site does have:

Hardeeville's Catfish Festival kicks off Friday at 6:00 pm with a Land Boat Race. Then Saturday morning the day begins with the annual Catfish Festival Parade. Other events throughout the day include a Bakeoff Competition with cakes, pies, and catfish stew. There will also be a car and bike show, live music, and amusement rides for the kids. Vendors will be selling a variety of food and cold drinks, and at the end of the day, the festival will conclude with a Fireworks show! We hope to see you there!

Other  than that the best we can do for you is a blog  post by Hardeeville Today's Erin McGuire.
