If you're headed down to Bluffton note that the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Team has scheduled a traffic safety checkpoint on Thursday, October 20, from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Firday on Fording Island Road (US 278) at Burnt Church Road (map below).

The checkpoint will look for violations of any laws, with emphasis on violations related to driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and insurance.

Drivers passing through the checkpoint will be asked to produce their driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance for their vehicle.
