The University of South Carolina Beaufort is hosting a three-day conference that brings together the Southeast's leaders in hospitality and tourism education.

The Southeast Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education's annual fall conference is being held at USCB's historic Beaufort campus today through Saturday. The conference will include educators from seven states.

USCB of course has its own Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. You can find the website for that department here.

Here's a bit from the press release announcing the conference:

Approximately fifty conference attendees will spend three days and two nights in Beaufort learning about its hospitality and tourism organizations.

The conference provides a venue for Hospitalty faculty in the Southeast to present current research. Conference topics this year include Club Management, Technology, Tourism, and Cultural Studies.

On Friday, October 8th, 36 presenters representing 13 universities and hospitality organizations will share their research, experiences, and ideas. Local presenters include three faculty members from USCB’s Hospitality Management Program, Sean Barth, Fred Beasley, Charles Calvert and John Salazar, and Susan Thomas, Hilton Head Island/Bluffton Visitor and Convention Bureau.
