The Irish are coming! Beaufort's Irish Festival is back

The dates have been confirmed for Beaufort's 4th annual Irish Festival: February 25th, 26th, and 27th.

A Gala Dinner running from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the night of the Friday, the 25th, will kick off the weekend's events at the Best Western-Sea Island Inn on Bay Street. Tickets are $35 per plate, and all proceeds will go to the Children advocacy and rape center: Hope Haven of the Lowcountry Foundation.

But the main even comes on Saturday, February 26, as Irish Native and Dataw Island Country Club head chef Joe Kelly will be supplying much of the food at the Quality inn on Boundary Street. An Opening Ceremony will be held at noon, and tickets for the event are $10 per person with under-12's entering for free. Luther's Rare and Well Done on Bay Street is scheduled to host an Irish-themed pub night after the main event concludes at 4 p.m.

The Festival will conclude on Sunday, February 27, with an open mic-jam session at Luther's starting at 1 p.m.

February 19th Irish Mucisian Sean O' Se' will facilitate a lecture on Irish History and Celtic Music prior to a musical performance. Event will be held at St. Luther's Church on Lady's Island. Tickets are $15 per family, $10 per adult and $5 per student.
