Update December 13: WSAV was on hand as the Beaufort County Christmas tree was lit Monday night at the county building on Ribaut Road; check out their video up top or over here.

First reporting: The Beaufort County Christmas tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for Monday, December 12, at 5:30 p.m. at 100 Ribaut Road.

The event is open to the public and Council Chairman Weston Newton will deliver a message along with carols led by the B.J. Scott Choir of the Huspah Baptist Church, refreshments, and a visit from Santa Claus.
