With gospel music, crafts, a street dance, and fireworks on Friday, and a shrimp eating contest, parade, and talent show on Saturday, and, of course, shrimp and food trhought: the annual Yemassee Shrimp Festival is back this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

That's September 14 through 16 in downtown Yemassee.

The festival closes out on Sunday with a mud run at 10 a.m. 

Seafood lovers will also not that the festival shares the weekend with the Hardeeville Catfish Festival just down the road.
