Habersham's First Friday series is back, and unlike past years, the monthly celebration and farmers market won't stop in the winter and will go yearround.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. today, February 1, with live music along with food and arts and crafts vendors.

Sea Eagle Market is the featured vendor serving gumbo, steamed shrimp or a lowcountry boil supper for $5. The vendors and businesses along Market Street will also be open, including the restaurants: Maggie's Pub, Piace Pizza and Berto's Tex-Mex Grill.

Playing will be Charleston’s bluegrass trio Boss Hawg with various types of bluegrass and some eclectic arrangements such as turning rock to hillbilly.

The event goes until 8:30.

The Habersham Marketplace is located at 13 Market Street in the Habersham Neighborhood, located off of Joe Frazier Road.
