'The Pillowman' to hit ARTworks' stage February 17, 18

"The Pillowman", a staged reading at ARTworks, is coming to the stage on February 17th and 18th at 7:30 p.m.

The reading is produced by The Palmetto Theater Xperiment and directed by Matthew Donnelly; all seats are $7.

With echoes of Stoppard, Kafka, and the Brothers Grimm, "The Pillowman" centers on a writer who lives in an unnamed totalitarian state and is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders. The result is an urgent work of theatrical bravura and an unflinching examination of the very nature and purpose of art.
