Ben Speaks this President's Day weekend, and we've got a pair of tickets to give

Want to mix up your President’s Day celebration? Well consider coming out for this play — and we've got a chance for you to score free tickets.

“Ben Speaks,” is writer, actor and Ben Franklin interpreter Steve Nousen’s humorous and touching new one-man show. The premier will be at Beaufort’s ARTWorks black box theater this Friday-Sunday, February 18-20.

If you'd like a shot at a pair of free tickets to the Saturday show, head to this post on our Facebook page and give it a like or leave us a comment below (be sure to put your email in the email address field.)

The two-act, audience-interacting play with Dr. Franklin, was inspired by Nousen’s years of research and his in-character lectures on Franklin throughout Beaufort County. Set in Franklin’s later years, the piece looks beyond the two-dimensional image many have of Franklin to matters personal as well as political and social in this incredible man’s singular life.
February 18 and 19 shows are at 8 pm and February 20 matinee is at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students age 13 and up, $5 for students 12 and under, and $10 each for groups of ten or more.

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling (843) 379-2787. ARTWorks is located at 2127 Boundary Street, in Beaufort Town Center (next to OMNI Fitness Center and Bi-Lo).
