The University of South Carolina Beaufort announced March 10 the hiring of USCB's first ever "artist in residence," Dr. Philip Dunn.

Dunn, a recent retiree as chair and distinguished professor of the University of South Carolina's art program, accepted the position at USCB to help consult and grow their new studio art program, which was added to the curriculum last year.

You can learn a bit more about Dr. Dunn in his brief bio at USC.

USCB plans to host an exhibition of Dr. Dunn's work at the Center for the Arts on Friday, March 25, at 7 p.m. in downtown Beaufort. Stay tuned for more details on that as they emerge.
