Watch episode one of 'The Week Women Went' that was filmed in Yemassee

With lots of Jeff Foxworthy narration, "The Week Women Went" aired Tuesday night showing off the Lowcountry's Yemassee.

Whether or not it's a groundbreaking social experiment is debatable, but episode one was undoubtedly fun for locals across Beaufort, Jasper and Colleton counties.

Here's the synopsis:

Yemassee, South Carolina prepares to take part in an unforgettable social experiment — the women will abandon the town for a week, leaving the men and children to fend for themselves. While the excitement is palpable, a freak storm, a surprise marriage proposal and the looming presence of a beauty pageant at week's end soon make the men and women realize they are in for more than they bargained for.

If you haven't seen it, tune in up top or over at Lifetime.

And you even get to see a glimpse of the Yemassee classic Harold's Country Club.

The show is back on next week for epsidode two, "Pearls Gone Wild" on Tuesday, August 21, when, "the men host a tea party for 60 socialites from nearby towns; a marine plans a birthday party for his girlfriend's daughter; a mother becomes overwhelmed and considers an early departure from camp."
