Share your thoughts on a conference center for Beaufort

In a subject that moves about as fast as spanish moss on a live oak, the Beaufort Regional Chamber Visitor & Convention Bureau is hosting a series of public meetings about a conference center for Beaufort.

(If you have no idea what the to-do is all about, the general idea is that it's impossible for Beaufort to draw in serious events or conferences as there's nowhere for them to be held.)

Citizen input will be part of the "Conference Center Feasibility and Economic Impact Study" by Atlanta-based PKF Consulting.

Here's the meeting schedule:

- Wednesday, June 1 (City of Beaufort, City Hall, 1st Floor Meeting room)
   1:30-2:30; 2:30-3:30; 3:30-4:30; 4:30-5:30
- Thursday, June 2 (Town of Port Royal, Town Hall)
   1:00-2:00; 2:00-3:00

If you'd like to attend, RSVP to bob@beaufortsc.org by Tuesday, May 31, with the session that you will attend, as seating may be limited.
