Photos from Beaufort's Night on the Town

From Charleston to Carteret streets, Bay Street in downtown Beaufort was flooded with people on Friday night as the Christmas season got rolling during the annual Night on the Town festival.

During a chilly 47 degree evening musicians and choruses sang, trees were lit, children ran, hot chocolate served, children bounced on Santa's lap, and, yes, cash registers rang. 

The event kicks off three days of activities in downtown, with the Night Boat Parade tonight, and Christmas Parade on Sunday.
