Restoring the longleaf pine in the South, and Bluffton

The longleaf pine was once the dominate tree in the Southeast. Today you'll only find it on three percent of its original habitat. 

With that note in mind Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton recently teamed up with the Garden & Gun Club, and nonprofit group Longleaf Alliance to plant some 2,000 seedlings in the area.
