Rainy, windy, wet; oh, and thunder, too
Ah, rain soup. More intense colors mean more moisture in the air.

In a move that’s entirely consistent with all the sucky weather we’ve had lately, the National Weather Service is forecasting, you guessed it, more sucky weather today.

Some useful links:

- Weather map

- View a map of rainfall in the last hour

- Report a power outage: 1-888-333-4465 (streetlights and outdoor lighting: 1-800-251-7234)

- SCE&G’s mobile Web page

- SCE&G’s storm tips

- Area traffic cameras

Weather advisories state to expect light-to-heavy rain, widespread thunderstorm, and wind gusts of up to 45 mph throughout the day.

On the up side, highs are forecast to top out at 81 degrees today. So maybe its a good chance to go and get some soup.

Here’s a link to the full forecast.

There’s also a tornado watch through 6 p.m.

In the words of the National Weather Service: “Chance of precipitation is 100%.”

Update 2:45 p.m.: All the rain has helped fight a fire near the North Carolina border.

Sucky weather? Sucky weather?!! Hey - it’s cooled off! I’ll take a little rain and wind in exahnge for the extreme heat we’ve had. (A little - not a hurricane, mind you.)

/Just as I was typing this the light rain turned to a downpour. Ha
