If you’ve been meaning to register to vote for the big election in November, things just got a bit easier. A voter registration event will happen Saturday (August 9) at Marion Square downtown from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Make sure to have a state issued ID and some form of proof of address.

If you don’t register then, be sure to do it by the start of October as in South Carolina you must register 30 days before an election to vote in it. Much more information about registering to vote is available from the state.

You can register by mail or register at any DMV office.
