Comedian Jim Gaffigan coming to North Charleston
A promotional clip for the tour.

The deadpan standup comedian Jim Gaffigan is visiting Charleston on Saturday in Comedy Central’s “The Sexy Tour.”

The Oklahoman says: “[Gaffigan’s] style is a wonder of deconstruction. Gaffigan will write one joke and then work that topic from every direction until he reduces it to a core of ridiculousness. His routine about the portable pastry Hot Pockets is a favorite — Gaffigan gets to the taste, the process, the ingredients, the after-effects and the insidious three-note jingle.”

The comedian has also appeared on late night shows as well as movies and TV shows. There’s a complete list of Gaffigan’s appearances, that go from July 11 through December 31.

The show is Saturday (July 19) at 8 p.m. at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster for $40.
