Wachovia Bank robbed, again

A Wachovia Bank on Rivers Avenue has been robbed for the third time this year. Police report that a man robbed the bank on Rivers Avenue around 1:10 p.m., and they are searching the area for a suspect.

The North Charleston Police Department reported:

The teller states a black male 5’9”-6’, 165-200lbs, wearing a white shirt, white pants, black sneakers and a jamaican colored hat with dreadlocks presented a note threatening to use a handgun and demanding money. The subject was provided an unknown amount of money and fled on foot from the bank.

Earlier this year the same bank was hit twice, and police said it was the same man. The bank had also been robbed in 2000 and 1995.

Maybe it’s time they invested in some more cameras.
