Some Alex's restaurants up for sale; one to get big changes

With the downturn in the economy and the upswing in healthiness, will a day come when there are no diners? I pray not.
Charleston fixture Alex’s is set for big change. Three of four restaurants will close, while the Mount Pleasant one will stay, but it won’t be the same.

Alex’s
The family chain’s Mount Pleasant location. The Post and Courier has a story on how and why. Thankfully, it looks like they’re aiming to save some the low-key all-day breakfast feel. But it looks like the old name is a goner.
The restaurant is no stranger to change, as its 24-hour service was scaled back in the past few months.
