Force Protection gets $69.5 million order from Marine Corps

Just a few days after delivering the first part of a $94 million order, Ladson-based Force Protection has received a $69.5 million order from the Marine Corps for “the service and support, including spare parts, of its Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles.”

The company announced a modification to the same contract back in early July.

The company’s mine-resistant, ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles have gotten a lot of attention in the war in Iraq.

Its more good news for a company that’s been having hard time.
