Some 1,300 people turned out for a career fair put on by Goodwill Industries, but despite the sagging economy some 500 fewer people came this year than last. But, a spokesperon said, the group was surprised by the hight number of people looking for second jobs.

Some 65 employers participated and were looking to fill about 700 openings.
