Update October 15: Andi Errol went to the show, check out the write-up.

Get reacquainted with Edgar Allen Poe’s poems and stories as they are retold in the interactive dramatization dubbed “Edgar Allan Poe: Back From the Grave.” To top things off it’s being done in the spooky old Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island.

Here’s what Creative Spark has to say about it:

The mysterious and spooky Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island is the site for this performance art event featuring interactive dramatizations of Poe’s poems and stories. Stroll through the labyrinthine hallways encountering actors, special effects from Wonderworks Lighting and Sound and Poe himself.

Finish the evening with an on-site reception by the event sponsor Poe’s Tavern. Produced by Creative Spark in cooperation with the National Park Service with the support from Royall Hardware.

Tickets are $30. VIP Tickets are $50, which include a reception at nearby Mugdock Castle. Early ticket purchase is advised for this sellout event.

Event starts at dark on Saturday, October 11. Buy tickets in advance by calling (843) 881-3780.
