Millions of lights flick on at Festival of Lights

Charleston County’s Holiday Festival of Lights of lights kicks off tonight, November 15, and runs through January 4.

The event is more than just a three-mile drive with millions of lights and 600 light displays, it’s also home to a holiday “train ride,” gift shops, sweet shops, and a 50-ton sand sculpture — made with local sand, of course. There’s also a ton of nightly entertainment.

Go get all the details on their Web site, and when you’re ready to go, here’s a map. The fee to tour the lights is $10 a car.

If you’ve never been before, The Post and Courier’s video promoting last year’s festival is a good primer.
